Although it’s been years since Claudia was a student at the Rochester Institute of
Technology, she is forever a student of life. One of her favorite ways to share her
expertise in international photography is to document the experiences of college
students participating in study-abroad programs.
Recently, Claudia accompanied a group of Fairfield University School of Nursing
(FUSON) students to Padova, Italy where they participated in a two-week
summer program hosted by the Institute of Research and Advanced
Education (CEREF) and led by Fairfield University School of Nursing Associate
Professor and Director of Graduate Studies Jean W. Lange, RN, Ph.D.
Padova is an ancient town in northeast Italy and home to one of Europe’s oldest
universities — The University of Padova, where Galileo taught and Copernicus
studied.
Only a half hour by train to Venice, and within easy access to Bologna and
Florence, the students and Claudia were in their glory! A trained medical
photographer, Claudia was there to capture the students’ international academic,
practical, and cross-cultural experiences at Padova Hospital and other nursing care
facilities.
