Not every profession allows you to live a dream, pursue a passion and make a

difference. Claudia has witnessed the realities of life in both established countries

and developing nations, endangered cultures and fragile ecosystems. Her work

documents personal toils and tribulations, as well as the simple pleasures and

the commitment to keeping cultural traditions alive in a world moving toward

globalization, sometimes struggling for peace.

Humanitarian organizations and voluntourism groups have a tremendous impact on

the quality of everyday life around the world. Recently, Claudia engaged with

Ambassadors for Children to document a school building program called the

Guatemala Project. Claudia’s photographs of volunteers reading, playing and

connecting with schoolchildren from poverty-stricken areas capture the true spirit

and mutual rewards of voluntourism and put faces on the stories of courage and

compassion, celebration and devastation that occur every minute of every day in

our global community.
